I Started with Nothing but Overdue Bills
Hi, I’m Eli, founding partner of Eli Rich Consulting. And yes, when I started in real estate, I had nothing. Zip, nada, nothing. In fact, Real Estate wasn’t even my first venture in to trying to be successful – so you could say that I was pretty experienced at being dead broke. The thing of it is though, I always thought there was a better way. I saw people getting success, building up their businesses and being successful.
I would watch the top performers making tons of money out there, while it just seemed that the rest of us were kind of ‘average,’ despite everything we tried differently. Despite the advice that we had gotten from those same top performers. I remember asking one of the top performers for the company I was with, who happened to be in town. I remember having a 1 on 1 with him and asking “how do you make so much money and close so many deals?”
The answer he gave me…didn’t help me at all. Sad, isn’t it? I know this is the point of the story, where we’re supposed to say “this guy came about and changed my life!” But at that point in time he didn’t. Looking back on it now, I do actually understand what he told me, and I now understand the value of that man’s approach, but it did nothing for me then. I couldn’t understand it. I needed an extra layer, an interpreter, someone who could teach me to understand the value of that man’s approach and to actually understand how to do it.
And that’s exactly what happened. It was out of frustration, the frustration of being broke, of not making any money and seeming like everything I was doing failed, that lead me to completely obsess and consume my life over finding out and dissecting the secrets of success.
I went to all the experts – I got a coach, I pulled together all the resources and scripts and blueprints for success from everyone and everything that could be of value, no matter how small the advice might have seemed at the time. I took all of this feedback, took all of these materials and I condensed them into a simple, single system.
The things I wanted in my own “ultimate system,” the abilities I wanted to have as an agent, that I felt could take me anywhere and achieve anything where:
- It had to act fast – I needed to get leads on demand ASAP
- I had to Close FAST, Listings needed to get signed ASAP so I could get another one
- The system had to be scalable – I’d have to be able to teach it to others to make my agency
- It had to REDUCE the amount of time I spent every week doing business.
Most of all, it had to lead to Money. It had to get me to six figures and it had to get me beyond to seven figures.
After spending so much time, effort and energy putting together my comprehensive system, and putting it into practical action, the results were even more than I could hope for.
I went from dead broke to $287,000 in 10 months.
Not only that, by my second year working the methodology, I had grown to nearly $500,000 in GCI. It was about that time that I decided I needed some help! Today, I have a full staff, working my system, ownership of investment properties and made it to that “next-level.”
It was that moment, when I could sit back and look at my team, look at my hard work paying off in a system that brought them success and that created wealth for myself and the people around me, that I decided to take the system and share it with the world.
